Liam Payne was dropped by his record label, just days before his death, a new report has confirmed.
The star was reportedly in a terrifying position and suffered massive blows just days before his tragedy. He feared for his well-being after Universal Music told him that they would no longer like to work with him.
The news was confirmed by local media outlet Daily Mail who says that he was first signed with Sony when he was a part of the One Direction boyband. But he also penned a deal with Capitol Records which comes under the ownership of Universal.
When he was just 22 in age, he opted to launch his solo career. At the time, he was so thrilled to have this opportunity to benefit from. It was a massive opportunity to grow and a lucrative deal.
The fact that Liam was under the label and decided to drop him, before his death, meant a huge blow to the star’s career and he was reportedly not happy about the news, a close friend revealed.
So far, no reason has been confirmed as to why he was dropped and if that had anything to do with his drug abuse and legal issues pertaining to his former lover.
