Country singer Zach Bryan was arrested by the police and his mugshot is making rounds on the internet.
The 27-year-old musician, whose album with Kacey Musgraves hit No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 last week, was booked into Craig County Jail on Thursday for an alleged obstruction of investigation.
The singer was arrested in Vinita, Oklahoma, after a run-in with Oklahoma Highway Patrol caused him to say things that were “out of line.”
After being processed at the jail, Bryan’s mugshot began circulating the internet with people speculating on the circumstances of his arrest.
Meanwhile, the young man broke his silence and revealed what went down between him and the law enforcement.
“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said,” he shared later that same day.
“I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around.”
He continued: “Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers.”
Earlier on Thursday, prior to his arrest, Bryan shared a series of posts in which he suggested he was traveling to Massachusetts to see the Philadelphia Eagles in their season-opening match against the New England Patriots.
“On the road again, gonna go see the birds win,” he wrote in one post.
After the incident with the police, he added: “STILL F***N HIGHWAYING ACROSS THE COUNTRY OL SONS LETS GOOOO.”
