A school district is currently in a state of mourning after three children and their parents passed away on a helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River off New York City earlier in the week.
The Jesuits of Sant Ignasi School in Barcelona shared a statement through Facebook on the matter. They reacted to the deaths of Agustin Escobar and his wife and with children, who attended the educational institution.
‘We are deeply shaken and very saddened by the matter and death of a family from our community yesterday’- the school shared.
‘We wish to express our condolences and support and affection on this matter to relatives and friends as well as offer any kind of accompaniment that they require’- the message read.
The Jesuits of Sant Ignasi school held a moment of silence for the family members a day after the crash took place, as per the Associated Press.
The media outlet shared how a father came forward to share how his son was good friends with one of the victims who passed away in that tragedy. They were so devastated. The entire family of five who came from Spain was killed alongside the pilot, who was later identified as Sean Johnson, a former Navy SEAL.
