The First Coast High School graduate Griffin Furlong who is better known as the homeless valedictorian showed up on Good Morning America to speak about his journey.
He managed to make heads turn after losing his mother to cancer but that’s not all. His speech about being homeless and many were stunned in terms of what was going on.
Knowing that he would need to go into debt to afford college had some stunned. Friends helped him by setting up a donation page for his college fund and so far, it managed to raise $103K.
Furlong shared in another interview how after graduation, he would be using the funds to pay off college. He then chose to save it for a rainy day fund. Some days down the line, he hoped to create a new scholarship program for students to benefit from who are facing some serious difficulties.
He spoke about how his main goal was to be happy and live a peaceful life. He has faced so many obstacles in his life and now he wants to focus on other things in the future.
He hopes to have a positive life after all of this, he added during his meeting on Good America.
