If you happen to love traveling then this next story about a man who ended up buying an apartment on a cruise ship is just for you.
Sources from local media outlets have spoken about an American citizen that purchased an apartment on a cruise. And while that might sound uber bizarre to some, he’s loving his new jet set life.
The man named Austin Wells says that not only is it cheaper in cost as compared to a real home elsewhere, but it also provides him with the luxury to travel to so many different places.
“It’s fairly cheaper than living on land so why not!”- he went on to reveal.
The house purchased by the San Diego resident is for $300,000 and that entails a 12-year-old lease onboard the famous MV Narrative. This is the name allotted to a giant cruise ship that has a staggering 500 private rooms and apartments.
Meanwhile, his 237-square-foot entry-level room will entail a foldaway bed, a desk, a pantry, and a separate shower room as well.
In the same way, you’ll find the 28-year-old claiming how much he adores traveling but he really does prefer avoiding the hassle that comes with flights and boarding. At the same time, he is not a fan of jet lags and disrupted routines too.
Hence, in the end, he did purchase a studio apartment on a ship that allows him to travel around the globe as much as possible.
As mentioned by CNBC, Wells is going to end up saving $500 each month by living on this ship and gaining permanent access to medical services too. At the same time, he can avail a gym, kitchen, farmer’s market, and the option for room service that’s up for grabs, around the cloud.
