Amazon delivery driver has sparked a massive new debate online after claiming all customers should leave out snack stations for hard-working employees.
The news has baffled some people online who feel there’s no room for such bold statements, especially considering the fact that they’re already paying the company for their service. But other netizens feel bad and think kindness should be promoted across the board.
The driver who goes by the name of Aniya noted how people can be super unkind on so many different occasions. But according to her, kindness is a virtue that everyone needs to stick to on a daily basis.
Snack tables are the least that a driver deserves, considering the trouble, long shifts, and late hours they put in to make sure customers get their packages on time.
Aniya put out a message on social media that showed how people who order from Amazon frequently are bound to get the same or similar driver. Therefore, when someone is coming to your home constantly to give you a package, the least they deserve is a little kindness or respect in the form of food.
But not everyone was convinced. A lot of commenters took the whole scenario and did not hesitate in terms of blowing it out of context or proportion.
There were people who bashed the driver and mentioned how food and drink were not the customer’s responsibility but one that lay on the shoulders of the hiring company which in this case was Amazon.
Aniya also noted how so many customers do actually go through the hassle of putting out snacks. So when she saw that several of her regular ones were going against the trend, she became upset and felt it was high time she let them know that it’s common courtesy and these things they should know better.
