One Olympic cyclist was reportedly found dead inside her apartment after choking on her food.
According to reports from local media outlets, the cyclist competed in a total of five Olympic Games that were held between the 1992 to 2012 period. She was living in Las Vegas at the moment since retiring from the sport.
Born and raised in Venezuela, Daniela Larreal Chirinos was known for her incredible skill but times were tough for her. She also worked as a waitress at a leading hotel and failed to show up at her workplace on Friday.
As per sources from local media outlets, Larreal was found dead at her apartment. It was noted that she failed to show up to work and many wondered what the reason could be.
It was soon discovered that she had died from asphyxiation due to choking while eating her food. As per the post-mortem examination, solid food particles were found inside the windpipe.
This was a clear suggestion that she choked on her food and died in the end. For now, the cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed by the police. Her loved ones are waiting for answers as they mourn her sudden and tragic loss.
