Terrifying and tragic reports are speaking about the death of a two-year-old boy who passed away in the most tragic manner.
The child’s father was charged in his death after he allegedly left the toddler inside a room alone with a space heater that lasted for nearly 15 hours.
During the morning hours of December 2, deputies showed up after a 911 call and found the victim River Carter dead inside his residence.
This was inside a small town between Fayetteville and Charlotte. Moreover, the boy’s room was said to have reached over 100 degrees Fahrenheit as per the officials on the scene.
Investigators shared how the child was in there for 12 hours and more and was exposed to the most horrifying high temperatures from a space heater.
This was right before his death was reported, the office confirmed. For now, the official cause of death was revealed to be hypernatremic dehydration due to serious environmental heat exposure.
Two more documents shared spoke about how the dad put the child to bed at 3 pm because he seemed to have a cold and a cough as well as a low-grade fever.
Carter checked on his child two hours later and chose to turn the home’s central air conditioning off and switch the space heaters on to save power. But that came at the cost of losing his child.
