Students have been evacuated from a high school in Dallas after reports of an active shooter were made to the authorities.
Several emergency services are currently standing at the Wilmer Hutchins High School amid reports of gunshots being fired on campus.
Several videos showed the horrified students evacuating the building as the cops, fire engines, and paramedics were seen rushing to the scene.
The Dallas Fire Department requested a Stage 2 Mass Casualty Incident reply after the shooting. Students and parents were seen being urged to stay away from the campus as the authorities try to investigate the matter.
Injuries were reported as per local media. However, it’s not clear how many have been injured during this time. The Dallas Independent School District, who run the Wilmer Hutchins High School, shared more with the cops on the matter.
They mentioned how the cops were arriving at the school shooting, which occurred at nearly 1 pm local time. Some reports did speak about a young adult getting shot in the leg and transported to a nearby hospital, and is now in stable condition. The story is developing.
