JUST IN: NFL Star Damar Hamlin’s Breathing Tube Has Been REMOVED As He Continues To Make Remarkable Progress


Buffalo Bills have shared a new update on Damar Hamlin’s condition as he continues his journey to recovery.

The NFL star collapsed on the football field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals after what appeared to be a routine tackle.

According to reports, he had suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Buffalo Bills officials just announced that the 24-year-old’s breathing tube has been removed.

“Per the physicians at UCMC, Damar’s breathing tube was removed overnight. He continues to progress remarkably in his recovery,” officials wrote on Twitter.

“His neurologic function remains intact and he has been able to talk to his family and care team.”

The post has received more than 230,000 likes and over 24,000 retweets, with Rev. Wendy Hamilton replying: “A miracle for sure. And excellent, responsive, competent medical care when it mattered most.”

In another post, Buffalo Bills revealed that Hamlin had already spoken to the team.

“Damar Hamlin FaceTimed into our team meeting today to talk to players and coaches. What he said to the team: ‘Love you boys.’”

One of the doctors taking care of the NFL star, Dr. Pritts, also said that Hamlin was awake and wrote a 3-word note to his nurses.

“Did we win?” it read, to which medical staff replied: “Yes, Damar. You won. You’ve won the game of life.”

In a press conference, Dr. Pritts stated: “Not only are the lights on, but he’s home. He continues to be critically ill and undergo care in the ICU. He still has significant progress he needs to make. This marks a turning point in his ongoing care.”

In another press conference, medical director Dr. Thom Mayer said: “While there’s a long way to go, all signs are optimistic, and point to what is likely to be a full neurologic recovery, and we’ve got to get there, but so far things have been very, very positive.”
