Superstar soccer play Gerard Pique is now rumored to be dating a 22-year-old model, just days after he split with Columbian singer Shakira.
According to local media reports, the sportsman and Shakira had been together for 11 years and even had two beautiful children together. But Shakira took to her account on social media to announce how the pair had split but failed to cite the reason.
That is when rumors ran at an all-time high regarding how she had caught the celeb cheating with another woman and found that unacceptable. She is even believed to have written a song about her heartbreak.
This announcement was made on June 4th, when the Columbian singer’s publicist confirmed the news and responded to queries on her behalf.
“We regret to confirm that we are both parting ways. This is being done for the well-being of our two children and we hope the media can respect our privacy during this difficult time”- the celeb revealed.
The star soccer player is yet to release any comments or even address the news that was published by Shakira, leaving fans and followers wondering what the reason could have been.
The announcement is believed to have come at a time when Pique was rumored to be cheating on the Queen of Latin music with another man who was not identified at the time.
But as reported by the Daily Mail, the duo were living separately for a while and it was indeed the Columbian superstar singer who had kicked her lover out of the home.
On one occasion, the Mirror reported how the footballer mentioned during an interview how he would not like to get married because he liked the way his relationship was with Shakira and hence didn’t feel the need to engage in holy matrimony.
The real identity of the model is yet to be revealed but she is said to be good friends with one of the star’s best friends Riqui Puig.
