At least six people including two kids were reported dead after a tragedy taking place in Mississippi recently.
The incident arose after a person driving a pickup truck in the wrong lane collided with a family car on the highway. This resulted in several people being killed including two young children.
The incident arose just before the clock struck 3 am when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup vehicle was on its way south in the northbound lane of Interstate 55 when all of a sudden, the crash arose.
As per the cops, the scenes were so tragic as many people were declared dead on the spot of the crash.
The truck only had the driver inside and that collided with a Hyundai Sonata that was on its way north near the Daniel Lake Boulevard.
The Hyundai carried one driver and four passengers all of whom died in the accident.
As per the Jackson police detective, the victims included a male, a female, a teenager, and two kids. All of them were residents of Copiah County which is present south of Jackson.
Meanwhile, the driver was identified as a 23-year-old individual hailing from Scott County in the east of Jackson. So far, the victims killed in the tragedy were not unveiled by the cops by name.
The Jackson police explained how the medical first responders were all dispatched to the scene where both drivers and all four passengers inside the vehicle were pronounced dead.
The department expressed its thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims of this tragedy.
