Three women from New Jersey have reportedly been accused of carrying out child abuse and neglect of the worst kind against a young girl.
Reports from local media outlets revealed how the young girl was found in the most malnourished state, wearing a dog shock collar.
When asked about the collar, the girl revealed how it was a punishment she had received from her caretakers for behaving ‘bad’.
The case was registered around three years ago but the verdict has finally been revealed in the court of law where all three women will now face a series of charges in regards to their shocking behavior.
The affidavit launched with the case revealed how the victim is now 13 years old but was just 9 at that time. She is only being identified with the initials I.D.
Prosecutors revealed how the charges made against all three women pertain to the period between October 2018 to March 1 of 2022.
For those who may not be aware, dog shock collars are deemed to be controversial training tools for dogs and they vary in terms of the amount of electric shock that they can produce by the handlers in charge of them.
They are mostly controlled via remote control and are commonly used to punish animals for their misbehavior.
However, seeing something of this extreme on a fourth-grader raised eyebrows, clearly showing the great amount of child abuse inflicted on the young girl.
Police claim that they had first learned about the incident after the neighbors called 911 to inform them about the girl wearing the collar.
The young child waited outside her home and began to yell, “They’re shocking me, they’re shocking me so bad!”
When the collar was removed by the cops, the horrifying marks of electric shock surrounded the child’s neck. Moreover, she was immediately rushed by law enforcement officers to a nearby hospital in Stratford.
As investigations into the bizarre case continue, the child is said to be in the care of child protection services.
