The mother of the teenage boy who died on the doomed Titan sub is finally breaking her silence for the first time since the harrowing tragedy.
The wife of Shahzada Dawood says she gave her spot on the doomed vessel to her son but little did she know that she was actually setting himself up for death.
Speaking in detail about how her child never wished to go on the trip, she says that he was terrified but wanted to make his dad happy for Father’s Day. But that was not the ending she or anyone had hoped for obviously.
When she was asked about whether or not the child had some sort of pressure to go, she denied it. “He went on his own will but yes, he was definitely a little terrified”- she continued.
The mother wiped away her tears and said that this could have been me. She loved her family so much but she did not wish to come in between their passion for the Titanic wreckage that they were so keen on seeing.
“My son was more keen on solving a Ruberick and breaking the world record for that. He joined such activities, he was a very calm and loving soul”- she adds.
Christine Dawood says this whole thing has torn her entire family apart. She wants justice and similar hopes and prays that no family has to ever go through what she’s been through in the recent past.
Christine Dawood says to come here and sit in front of the world and give an interview, knowing that all sorts of scenarios are being played in her mind right now is heartbreaking.
She hopes with time she finds closure but a part of her heart will always be missing forever.
