Officials have confirmed that the brother of one of the victims of the Hudson River helicopter crash has arrived in New York to receive the bodies and confirm their identification.

As per the New York Post, Steven Fulop, who is the mayor of Jersey City, mentioned that he flew in from Spain with a brave face to do this tragic task.

He will also identify his brother-in-law and nieces and nephews, which authorities claim is one of the most difficult things right now.

‘There are still a lot of things to process right now. The family member may have to ID the bodies, and they still have to arrange transport back to Spain- the authorities confirmed.

The Spanish consulate is also involved in the matter deeply, and the Siemens company, where the father worked as the chief executive, is also working alongside the authorities in this matter.

The Hudson County Medical Examiner’s office in New Jersey is still examining the bodies of all six victims, as per the mayor. ‘They still need to figure out the cause of death. Was it from drowning or was it from the propeller?- the mayor explained.
