A very frail appearing Celine Dion was seen making an appearance at this year’s Grammy Awards.
The singer got a standing ovation from those seated in the audience and many applauded the fact that she made it to the grand evening, despite battling a debilitating illness called Stiff Person’s Syndrome.
Dion made the triumphant return to the Grammy Awards on Sunday and she was smiling despite fighting a battle that very few can relate to.
Her condition is deemed to be the rarest one of them all because very little is researched about in this domain and therefore there are no available treatments either.
“When I say that I am happy, I mean it from the bottom of my heart”- she added. Dressed in a light green attire from head to toe, she concealed her body with a giant coat in the color tan. Moreover, she even accessorized it using a sparkly necklace.
She says that the love and appreciation she has received at this grand awards show is truly one of a kind and she’s blessed beyond measure to be here today, another added.
“The love, joy, and appreciation are so breathtaking. Music is my life, it’s my passion and I never thought I would have to step away from it, due to my health”- she continued.
The star’s speech got plenty of people in the audience in tears and they continued to root for her on, each time she stuttered or found it hard to speak something.
Before leaving, Dion mentioned that no one can or should ever take these things for granted, including love and health. She hopes she can come back stronger than ever and for that, she requested prayers from her fans and loved ones.
