Justin Baldoni’s lawyers have chosen to quickly respond to Blake Lively’s attempts to dismiss her It Ends With Us director and costar’s lawsuit against her.

They did not shy away from calling this move abhorrent. Meanwhile, Lively’s lawyers are working hard to slam the case put out by Baldoni as vengeful and rambling.

They slammed the matter as a profound abuse of the legal process that has zero place in the court of law. This marks a new height of tension between both sides that started off in December of 2024 when Lively sued Baldoni for harassment and started a smear campaign against her.

Baldoni responded by filing a mega $400M lawsuit against Reynolds, his wife, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane.

The situation was called out as a very intense and heated one while some slammed it as legally groundless and an effort to silence the actress.

Lively’s team says Baldoni and his co-defendants are subjected to California’s Civil Code Section which is a newly enacted law that stops retaliatory cases linked to public disclosures of s*xual harassment. They also mentioned how it was a conspiracy regarding the intimidation tactic.
