Disney World is issuing an apology of regret regarding its recent decision to allow a Texas-based high school drill team to perform a parade at one of its parks.
According to local media reports, Disney World used the word ‘regrets’ in bold after its recent performance as the ‘Indianettes’ drill team showed up at its premises for the parade.
The parade is stated to have featured a number of American Indian stereotypes that comprised several repeated chants like ‘scalp them’.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the performance by the Port Neches Groves High School on Tuesday had so many of its members march to a number of musical beats that were inspired by Native Americans, along with moves that were reportedly taken from their cultures too.
The shocking performance by the Port Neches Groves High School on Tuesday has now gone viral on social media as many began to put great pressure on the Park’s officials for the act.
In the viral footage, it can clearly be seen how the members began to tap both their hands as well as their feet to the beat while covering their mouths as they whooped and mimicked so many of the effects known to signal a ‘war cry’ in true Native American style.
Moreover, one of the audition tapes that was provided by the schools was definitely labeled as misleading as it was inconsistent with what the actual performance comprised of, one official from Disney World confirmed.
However, the school is firing back with claims relating to how this is actually the eighth time that the cheer time has performed the same routine at the park.
