President Donald Trump has reportedly informed his Cabinet and the inner circle that Elon Musk will be stepping back from his high-profile government role in the next few weeks.
The Tesla and SpaceX owner will be returning back to the tech world where he’s learned to make billions. Politico reported how the shock revelations have rattled the entire stock market and stunned Washington.
Musk’s designation as a special government employee meant that he was scheduled to step down in May but he’s leaving early and that’s giving a clear message to his haters.
They might have succeeded in bringing him down in a cloud of controversy. This represents a massive sea change in Trump’s relationship with Musk from last month, when sources from the White House shared that the Tesla Boss was here to stay.
Trump’s press secretary refuted claims that there there was rift between the two of them. She also mentioned how Politico’s scoop is garbage and that there was no such thing between the two.
Musk and Trump decided a while back that he would depart public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE was finished.
Musk echoed her, retweeting her post and mentioning how all the fake news needed to stop. For months, Musk’s arrival was controversial, and many wanted him to exit as they felt he was influencing plenty of Trump’s decisions.
This really cost Musk a lot of money as his shares and sales for Tesla fell dramatically with many resorting to vandalism and destruction of Tesla cars and outlets.
