A bride and groom who managed to escape alive from their own dream wedding are now breaking their silence on the devastating matter.
The couple says they are numb with grief over the incident and how things got out of control so fast that they are yet to process everything that has taken place.
The pair lost so many loved ones and friends in the blaze when a giant fire broke out at the wedding venue in Iraq’s northern province of Nineveh.
The fire managed to tear through the Al Haytham wedding hall where hundreds of guests had gathered to wish the couple well as they prepared to begin a new chapter in their life.
Early reports spoke about how the blaze began when a mishap took center stage with fireworks. As per local media outlets, flammable panels were used for the ceiling and that could have added more fuel for the fire to burn and tear down the entire event venue.
Horrifying footage shows the couple doing everything in their power to escape as the blaze gets out of control all of a sudden.
Terrifying screams can be heard as many did their best to help others but with limited time to escape others who were left behind just couldn’t be rescued and by the time help arrived, they were dead.
