Rapper Nicki Minhaj seems to be in an alarming situation after she was detained and arrested at Amsterdam airport yesterday.
The star was on her way to the United Kingdom but was stopped by security for allegedly carrying drugs.
This led to the star’s luggage getting confiscated by Dutch officials who ordered her to make her way to the police station. The star opted to livestream the incident and slammed the police for trying to plant something and accuse her of something that was not true.
In the video, the star can be heard raging with anger and requesting for a lawyer and the address of the police station as she refused to comply to their orders.
Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explain her innocence, she was not allowed to board her jet, leading to her Pink Friday 2 show in the United Kingdom getting postponed.
Fans were seen protesting the matter outside the venue in Manchester, with slogans that included, ‘Free Nicki’ and ‘Nicki is Innocent’. The outcry led to the incident going viral on social media and the subject turning into a hot debate online as well.
The star’s management says they are very disappointed by the sort of inconvenience that this has caused. They hope to get back on track soon as the star was pictured for the first time since her arrest.
