Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a college student who suffered from a fatal allergic reaction after eating a brownie that her friend had baked.
The student from Wisconsin passed away after suffering severe allergic symptoms from the brownie that featured roasted peanut flavor.
After just a few bites, she realized that something was not quite right. Even after taking some anti-allergic meds to bring the symptoms down, things did not go well.
Therefore, she decided to lie down for a short while but that again made things worse.
Her father explained how she called for immediate help and had trouble breathing. He knew that she needed immediate attention as in hindsight, her right lung was collapsing.
The teen ate the brownie as it was considered a health option as it was made from gluten-free flour. However, the substitute flour used was peanut and that was something she was severely allergic to.
Her dad said that she tried to lie down on her tummy and after a while, she transformed into the fetal position on the bed. She kept saying she had difficulty breathing and therefore when she started to get up, she lost consciousness and fell. By the time emergency first responders arrived, she was dead.
