One of the world’s most iconic structures is riddled with rust and in drastic condition as French authorities release new warnings about the Eiffel Tower.
According to local media reports, a new leaked message revealed how the structure is in drastic need of some major amendments as rust has completely attacked the building that many refer to as a glorious landmark in Paris.
As one of the seven wonders of the world, the Eiffel Tower continues to be loved and cherished by many locals and tourists to enter the country just to get a glimpse at the iconic tower, not to mention the bucketload of pictures that so many people can’t help but take.
But seeing the building covered in rust and that too being painted instead of actually fixing the problem has really enraged a lot of people who claim that the iconic landmark deserves a little more respect than just that.
Meanwhile, sources have revealed how officials are most likely planning on getting the repairs done in 2024 and that’s only because Paris will be hosting the upcoming Olympic Games during that year.
One expert joked by mentioning how the state of the tower was so severe that if the founder Gustave Eiffel visited his beautiful monument, he would have been so disappointed that he would have fainted, thanks to the awful condition that it’s currently in.
A French magazine also detailed how the state was beyond appalling and said to be in a very degrading manner.
The magazine stated that the maintenance defects and the extent of the damage that has taken place have been concealed by the general public too and that is not fair.
