A mom posted a video on TikTok answering all of the questions from her followers and also revealing her secret.
Amba, a mother from Tiktok, has revealed that she uses her own breast milk for a number of purposes, including whitening her teeth and that it also gives her more energy.
In her TikTok account, named @ambaslifebackupbackup with 10,100 followers, the benefits of drinking breast milk have long been proven and documented.
Breast milk or mother’s milk is milk produced by mammary glands, located in the breast of a human female. Breast milk is the primary source of nutrition for newborns, containing fat, protein, carbohydrates (lactose and human milk oligosaccharides), and variable minerals and vitamins.
Breast milk also contains factors that are important for implications protecting the infant against infection and inflammation, whilst also contributing to the healthy development of the immune system and gut microbiome.
Amba uses the Tiktok app to show several ways how she uses her own milk, beginning with answering the question: “How are your teeth so white?”
She answered the question by popping out a toothbrush and soaking it into her pumped milk, before using it to brush her teeth.
Answering the 2nd question about keeping her skin soft, she used a flannel dipped in the milk and wiped it in her face. She was also asked how is her hair so healthy and she answered it by putting milk in a spray bottle and spraying it to her hair and brushing it afterward.
Another follower has dropped a question asking: “How do you never look tired with all those kids?” with the tip of her finger, she gently put a bit of her milk on her eyes.
The last question made her look so divisive in everyone’s eyes because she was asked “How do you have so much energy?” Amba then drank the remaining breast milk in the bottle.
One person commented on the video saying: “I was okay till she drank it.” A second person commented: “I could never get myself to drink it, this makes me regret not trying it.”
Another person remarked: “You’re telling me I’ve been walking around with these bags under my eyes for 5 years for nothing?” Which to Amba replied: “I better put that milk to use! No seriously! it’s insane how beneficial it is!”
Other mothers commented on the video that they’d been using the milk to cure their ailments for years. One mom commented: “Yes girl! And all my stretch marks are GONE lol.”
Someone also commented that it: “Also helps with cuts, earaches, pretty much everything!!”
The World Health Organization recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life, with solids gradually being introduced around this age when signs of readiness are shown.
Supplemented breastfeeding is recommended until at least age two and then for as long as the mother and child wish.
