Meghan Markle was convinced that she managed to land on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine for her charity work and not for her relations with Prince Harry.
The news was confirmed by the former editor for the magazine, Graydon Carter, who shared the matter with Page Six.
The leading journalist mentioned how he began working for the firm in 1992. With so many years of experience under his belt, he recalled one of his most bizarre moments of contacting the dutchess and booking her in for the final cover stories before stepping down from the role in 2017.
‘I said I have no clue about what that is and why we should be doing a cover on her in the first place’- he shared. She was famous for her Suits series, so his question was certainly valid.
The 75-year-old shared how Markle challenged the reporter interviewing her once they booked her. As per Carter, the future Duchess of Sussex was a feisty individual.
‘She kept on wondering why all of this was going to be about Prince Harry. She said that she was under the impression that it would be linked to talking to her about charities and philanthropy, but that was not the case and she got upset!’- he added.
