Family Of WNBA All-Star Brittney Griner PLEAD For Her Safe Return From Russia


The family of WNBA All-Star Brittney Griner is pleading to authorities for help as the athlete is stranded in Russia during the ongoing war crisis.

Griner happened to be serving a three-week-long detention period when all of a sudden, the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, leaving her in a difficult situation.

Now, her loved ones are calling out for her safe return, while adding how she is in one of her most difficult and weakest moments of life ever.

Griner was forced to stay back and complete her three-week-long detention period after reportedly being charged for drug possession.

The 31-year-old star made a huge claim to fame after winning the WNBA championship title in the year 2014 while playing for the Phoenix Mercury.

She is also renowned for playing for the Russian side during the off-season too.

In February, she made headlines after being caught with cannabis oil in her possession, along with a few vape cartridges inside her suitcase at Moscow’s airport.

For this reason, she was banned from traveling and forced to serve a three-week-long detention period, as confirmed by news sources from Russia as well as a former team player of hers.
