Well, many people are getting shocked after finding out he received just $65,000 for the role. And in case you didn’t already guess by now, he would be much richer than he is today.
The famous movie from 2013 really showed the world how much talent he had to be featured alongside the likes of actor Tom Hanks. This is where he appeared as Muse. The duo reportedly retold the entire tale linked to the captain whose ship was hijacked by pirates in Somalia in the year 2009.
And you’ll be horrified to learn that he received so many impressive accolades when he won a BAFTA and was nominated at the grand Oscars event.
This is where he was given the honor to be considered the best support actor. As you can imagine, the star’s paycheque for this particular role was not very reflective of all of his hard work and talent.
Sources claim that the actor was declared broke after he quit his job as a salesperson and perhaps deserved a little more love and appreciation for his role in the movie and critics couldn’t agree more with this statement.
After being called for the audition, he was very skeptical about whether or not he would be cast. After all, there were some huge names in the movie and he had zero experience and grooming like they did.
For the audition, he simply had to be a pirate and that was the only brief that he was given. And guess what, he nailed it big time and got the job.
