Actor Alec Baldwin could soon be facing mega charges for his role in the fatal shooting on the sets of the movie, ‘Rust’.
According to reports from the District Attorney’s office, the actor could be facing criminal charges for allegedly firing a round that ended up causing the death of leading cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the movie set.
The news comes as the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office starts to prepare and release its final say and a series of investigative reports on the shooting, as revealed recently by documents that were retrieved by media outlet The Post.
An emergency request worth a staggering $635,500 from New Mexico’s Board of Finance was filed so that the office would have the necessary funds needed to prosecute up to four different individuals that they felt were involved in the case.
While there are no details on who exactly those four people were, it has been noted that one of the defendants is a well-renowned celeb and movie star named Alec Baldwin.
Moreover, the prosecution could end up requiring a minimum of four separate jury trials, as stated in the document.
In the request, it’s clearly mentioned how Alec Baldwin shot and killed Halyna Hutchins and even injured Joel Souza while he was busy rehearsing a scene during the filming of the movie called Rust.
It was also boldly declared how several people had handled the same gun that ended up killing the star cinematographer and injured Souza along the way.
She also mentioned how the office has been anxiously and patiently waiting for more evidence to be examined in detail by the FBI. And so the results of this investigation have now finally been returned to the DA office.
Just a few items are currently outstanding but may be expected to arrive any day now.
