A dad from Florida reportedly left his child in a hot car all day because he forgot to drop him off at daycare.
The child’s age was just one as revealed by the staff who said they were concerned about why the child didn’t come to daycare.
Staff also revealed that the toddler never came and later more startling details were revealed to them including how the dad didn’t drop him off the entire day.
When he realized his grave mistake, he rushed to check up on him and sadly he was dead moments later.
The incident arose on November 6 when the father went to the Bayfront Child Development Center in St. Petersburg after work to get his child. This was as per reports from local media outlets at ABC Action News and FOX 13 Tampa Bay.
After coming to the center at about 5 pm local time and talking to employees, the man realized how he never actually dropped the child to begin with.
The staff explained how the father realized what had just happened and rushed back to his vehicle, only to see his dead child.
Temperatures had hit a record 91 that day and he was not responsive. That’s when the panicked dad called 911 and when first responders came, they informed him that it was just too late.
