Shocking new details about the young 20-year-old gunman who fired five shots in the air, injuring Donald Trump and killing another are now taking center stage.
As per new reports from local media outlets, the father was confronted by agents of the FBI and Secret Service after the incident arose.
The FBI managed to ID the killer as Thomas Crooks who was outlined to have brought bombs and explosives inside his car to the Republican rally venue.
He also held a rifle that he used to target the rallygoers and Donald Trump which belonged to his father. The latter had purchased it under a legal license but the father claims he had no idea that his weapon was being used for this purpose.
‘What the hell is going on here’- the father exclaimed after officials stormed his property and informed him that his son was shot dead after he tried to kill Donald Trump.
The parents of the 20-year-old shooter were said to be in denial and explained how they had no idea about their son’s brutal intentions including a possible assassination attempt on the country’s former president.
The father could provide little to no insights on what the motives of the shooter were as they appeared clueless that his mind could even orchestrate such an attack, to begin with.
He did provide evidence of the licensed weapon bought in his name in 2013.
