Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly carried out a mass purge that entailed the removal of 150 security officials last night.
The news comes as the country prepares for a final massive military showdown in the Ukrainian region of Donbas.
Sources revealed how triple the number of military officials is expected to take part to help ensure a victory for Russia.
Inside reports detailed how leading FSB security officers were sacked from their top positions, while some were even arrested.
At the moment, the Russian head of state is busy trying to track down who he believes are traitors after a long series of Western intelligence agents reportedly got a hold of Russia’s battle plans, moments before the invasion.
In the same way, it was also disclosed how the President is trying to search for other people to blame, just in case, his military operation fell short of getting the victory he anticipates.
The tightening of Putin’s grip on his own military services comes as Putin takes a firm final grip for a push to take over the Donbas region so that his campaign can be saved from embarrassment as more and more Russian troops face losses at the hands of Ukraine.
Experts believe this is Putin’s final attempt at preventing a hugely embarrassing defeat and he hopes by his Stalinist expulsion of his own military leaders, he can slam the blame upon them.
Just last night, it emerged how Putin is finalizing the count for tripling the number of Russian troops that would take part in the final offensive in Donbas as the Russian leader is hoping for a clean sweep victory.
Western officials claim the move is being done to outnumber Ukraine’s troops stationed in the region, adding how it could be another one of Putin’s bloody pincer movements.
