Bill Foley’s takeover of Bournemouth has been approved by the Premier League.
The renowned businessmen from the US completed the massive $160 million takeover of the Cherries in October. And now, the Las Vegas-born business tycoon would be nominating himself as the club’s chairman.
The team that’s led by Bill Foley would also include the likes of Hollywood celeb Michael Jordan who is also stated to be a part of the leading consortium.
The club was seen confirming how Gary O’Neil would be the permanent manager of the firm back in November.
It’s interesting to note how Foley also owns the likes of the NHL franchise Vegas Golden Knights. Now, seeing him finalize the 150 million pound takeover of the Cherries in October and having it approved too is definitely a major deal.
Now that the paperwork is done and dusted with, Foley hopes to be the chairman and will be in attendance when they take on the Crystal Palace team on the eve of New Year.
Foley outlined in detail how he had a tremendous amount of respect across the board for the passion and support for the entire Bournemouth community.
It just goes to show that the connection that this community is the real foundation that is outlined for its success and for the success of any sports team that opts to play here, he explained.
Foley hopes to move forward with a unique approach. This would entail a new ‘always advance, never retreat formula that he feels is designed for success.
He also spoke about how committed a person he is to working alongside the biggest and best soccer clubs in the world. He feels that the right guidance can really enhance the minds of young players and he hopes to achieve just that.
