More than 1300 flights to and from the UK’s busiest airport were said to be affected after a giant blaze broke out near Heathrow Airport.
Counter-terrorism police probed the fire and felt Russian hands might be behind the sabotage that left the world stunned about what was going on.
Now, they are leading a new probe that comes with alarming findings about an electrical substation fire that left the airport without any power for the whole day.
Nearly 1700 flights were forced to reschedule after the incident, many getting diverted to other locations while many passengers were left stranded until further notice.
Sources shared how this might have to do with Putin’s campaign of disruption after the blaze ensued in the closed Hyde Electrical Substation.
Thousands of homes were left without any power and more than 100 were forced to be evacuated after the transformer at the substation caught on fire and a massive explosion was heard.
Western officials accused Russia and proxies of staging dozens of attacks and other incidents around Europe since the invasion of Ukraine three years back.
They alleged that the disruption campaign is an extension of Putin’s war to sow more division in Europe that supports Ukraine.
