The first batch of American troops has arrived at Russia’s doorstep in Latvia, sending a clear message to Russia.
According to local media reports, the batch of ‘sky soldiers’ from the US arrived as early as Thursday as the scale of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine intensified to new heights.
At the moment, US President Biden is moving around 800 more US troops along with heavy-duty fighting equipment into the Baltics which include nations such as Estonia, Lithuania, as well as Latvia.
All of the NATO allies are deemed to be ex-Soviet republics and all of them share borders with Russia directly.
This particular deployment is being looked upon as a means of strengthening the forces on NATO’s eastern side as more and more Russian troops invade Ukraine.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has gone on to mention how the movement is only defensive in nature and how the nation has zero intention of carrying out a battle against the Russian nation.
Many security experts have revealed how the tiny deployment being made by America is definitely not too significant on a strategic level. However, it appears to be designed to reassure how NATO allies will serve as a major ‘tripwire’ to any move made to the NATO allies by Russia, allowing the US to react in that situation.
But this move will definitely be a red flag for President Putin as Americans inch closer and closer to Russia.
In the past and till today, Russia has requested all American forces to leave European nations. Similarly, the Russian President has also gone on to reveal how it would not tolerate or appreciate any interference of Western forces interfering with its plans to invade Russia.
