A heartbreaking story involving an American female tourist being killed while traveling on a safari in Zambia is now taking center stage.
As per reports from local media outlets, the woman was identified as 79-year-old Gail Mattson who had just informed her friends that this was going to be her final adventure.
But little did she know that her words would transform into a reality like no other, leaving her loved ones heartbroken and struck with grief.
The tourist was enjoying her safari when all of a sudden, a giant five-ton bull elephant attacked her alongside five of her other tourist pals. This was on a game drive in the Kafue National Park on Saturday.
Meanwhile, another person was left seriously injured in the devastating attack. Mattson’s family also shared some more heartbreaking news about how more images regarding the incident were yet to be released that showed her final moments and how much she struggled against the giant beast.
Before the incident, she was all smiles, holding flowers and enjoying the wonders of nature inside her safari vehicle. Unfortunately, that turned out to be just a temporary or short-lived ordeal as she was killed moments later.
