Florida Gov. DeSantis Calls For MAJOR ‘Bonuses & Pay Raises’ For ALL Law Enforcement Officers And First Responders


Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis is all set to reward law enforcement officers and other first responders of the state as he proposes a mega financial plan calling for pay raises and bonuses.

The new $400 million initiative will work towards increasing salaries while providing bonuses to all members of the state’s police department, confirmed reports.

But the police won’t be the only ones benefiting as the new initiative will aim to increase salaries of all correctional officers as well as special risk firemen too.

This is the second year in a row where Ron DeSantis has called for a $1000 bonus to reward his state’s first responders including all law enforcement, paramedics, firefighters, technicians, medical staff, and more.

The governor boldly outlined how many other states may have shown their backs to those that mean most but he’s certainly not going to do that. “They may call to defund the police but we for sure won’t be doing that,” he mentioned.

In the same way, he spoke about how the state will continue to support and reward all the hardworking men and women in law enforcement, adding how proud he was for their sacrifices and actions as a whole.

The governor also revealed how these were incentives that would ensure help to the state’s recruitment team while retaining the country’s best law enforcement officers.

This new proposal indirectly means that it would go on providing nearly $73 million to increase the minimum salaries for all entry-level state law enforcement officers by more than 20% while increasing the salaries of veteran officers by nearly 25%.

In addition to that, Florida’s governor made sure he wouldn’t be leaving out any new officers that have entered the state’s system by proposing a $5000 bonus for them as well.
