King Charles III has officially been proclaimed as the United Kingdom’s new reigning monarch.
However, it has not taken him too long to go viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.
According to local media outlets, the new King was seen frantically gesturing aides to clear up his desk before he could ink his name on a set of important documents.
The incident is said to have taken place just a few moments before he signed the Accession Proclamation, and that marked the official ascension of his to the throne of the British Commonwealth, sources revealed.
But seeing him behave in this manner is not something that many had expected from the new King, especially since it has been a day or two since he accepted the new role.
The objects that really were of his concern included a pen box and an inkwell. Both of these items were stated to be a gift to him by his sons, Harry and William, sources revealed.
In the footage, the new King was seen on camera as he pointed toward them and requested to have them removed immediately.
“The servant must clear my desk for me. I cannot be expected to move things”- joked one person on Twitter and just like that, it went viral.
Another felt that the new King was clearly fed up with his roles, despite just entering into his new role. But this ceremony seemed to be getting plenty of attention for the wrong reasons, based on people’s judgments.
The historic signing took place at the age-old diplomatic hub that’s located in the St. James’s Palace in London. At the event, there were two proclamations signed.
One had to do with the issuance of a bank holiday in the country in honor of the late Queen and the other was related to the Accession to the throne.
