A 20-year-old hiker was reported found alive after being reported ‘missing’ since last month.
Many described the incident as shocking while some referred to this as a complete miracle.
The hiker was identified as Sam Benastick who was present near the Redfern Lake Trail in British Columbia Canada.
This was right after he was reported missing on October 19 as per reports from the Northern Rockies Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The hiker was found by two individuals who were present in the location for work, the police confirmed.
As per authorities, two of the workers took the hiker to the hospital and that’s where police attended to him and confirmed that he was indeed the same individual that they’d been on the lookout for so long.
Benastick explained to the cops how he was inside his car for a few days and then he started to go walking towards the creek region.
This is where he happened to camp for nearly 10 to 15 days. Right after that, he moved down a valley where he found shelter.
The family is so happy and grateful that he managed to survive the cold temperatures all alone. Nobody anticipated finding him alive but his loved ones are so blessed to be able to now celebrate the holiday season with him.
