Hockey-playing brothers Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau were put to rest on Monday after being killed in a senseless tragedy.
The caskets carrying the two brother were brought in side by side, similar to the manner related to how they lived their lives, which was side by side to one another.
It was also revealed how both their widows are pregnant as they wiped tears away from their faces when the caskets arrived.
Loved ones, friends, and team members gathered around to pay their final respects at the funeral service where emotions ran high and not a single eye was dry in the room.
The weeping widows did their best to offer words of condolences at the church and how they were left to mourn a tragedy that could also be a nightmare.
‘God did draft the best two boys’ – Matt’s crying widow mentioned as many found it hard to accept the reality that they are no longer with them in this world.
While many were aware that Matty was expecting his first child, others were shocked to learn that his brother’s widow Meredith was also expecting baby number three and was just weeks away. Fans from all over the world were also seen expressing condolences on the tragedy.
