Thousands of protesters gathered in the United Kingdom to carry out a massive march in honor of Anti-Racism Day.
The news comes a day after a black teenage student was reportedly strip-searched at school because she smelled like cannabis, explained reports.
The incident has drawn fury across the country as marches were organized in several cities such as London, Cardiff, and Glasgow too.
In London alone, the numbers exceeded thousands as organizers from the ‘Stand up to Racism’ led the ‘All Refugee Welcome’ march.
Around 10,000 people turned up in London, in what is being described as a historic number.
Meanwhile, around 2000 people gathered in Glasgow as they stood up to all forms of racism, adding how there was no excuse for this sort of behavior in today’s time.
The organizers were hailed for their efforts and they, in turn, thanked all the participants for coming out and supporting their cause which they believed is necessary to help prevent such incidents from taking place in the future.
A similar protest is also scheduled to take place today and another one tomorrow, the organizers continued.
Meanwhile, social media footage from the march is now making viral rounds on social media as so many could be seen chanting the terms, “no borders, no nations, no deportations”- which could be heard from miles away.
On the other hand, images from London clearly showed so many thousands of people that made their way down Oxford Street with several different banners from trade unions like CWU and UNISON too.
It was a shock for so many to see the entire Parliament Square being flooded with a sea of people including renowned Labour MP Diane Abbott.
