According to local media reports, the United Nations says they are so close to reprimanding Russia over their decision to invade Ukraine with a military operation. In the same way, they have issued demands that order Moscow to stop the fighting while withdrawing military forces.

This particular aim is being used to isolate Russia on a diplomatic level in front of the world stage.

Just by Tuesday evening, around 193-members belonging to the UN general assembly united to join a draft of co-sponsors that is a resolution being done before a vote that will take place on Wednesday.

Diplomats revealed how the text is designed to deplore Russia’s aggression during the Ukrainian invasion, including all the innocent lives that have been lost as a result of the uncalled-for actions.

This particular document is being deemed to be similar to the drafted resolution that was reportedly vetoed by a 15 member security council. At the moment, reports have confirmed how no nation has a veto in the UN’s general assembly.

Moreover, it was revealed how Western diplomats are now expecting the resolution to be adopted. But this can only take place after it gains about two-thirds support.

Germany’s foreign minister was quick to reveal to the General Assembly yesterday how the Russian invasion and war is a new reality and it now requires every country to take a firm decision in the form of selecting one side.

At the moment, General Assembly Resolutions are deemed to be non-binding. However, they are known for carrying political weight.

At the moment, dozens of countries are expected to abstain from giving their vote or perhaps not engage at all. But what repercussions this can have, if any, only time can tell.
