LSU star Angel Reese says she is in no mood to tolerate disrespect of any kind, shape, or form.
The rebellious and fierce player was seen defending her ‘gesture’ made toward a fellow opponent for team Iowa Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark.
The famed player of LSU who is also known as Bayou Barbie says she refuses to apologize for taunting her opponent from the opposite side. She also mentioned how she did not see anything wrong with her behavior and hoped people would just move on instead of creating a ruckus over the matter. But officials and critics fail to agree.
But waving her hand in her face and making that gesture was just beyond ridiculous, netizens felt. They called it racist and just not in the whole sportsman spirit. And now, many people are campaigning against her as they feel it’s time she was punished for the ordeal.
“Who mocks a fellow player like that? She is lacking dignity in victory and someone needs to tell her that!”- mentioned on netizen and just like that, the comments kept on coming.
Some people held the opinion that no matter what, if such behavior was allowed in court, it would make room for others to behave similarly in the future.
And while others had hoped the bubbly and fierce player would offer an apology off the court and during a press conference on the matter later on, post-game, that failed to take place.
The star mentioned boldly how she is who she is and there’s no way she plans on changing. “You all keep on putting me in some sort of a box but you fail to realize that I am too ghetto. I come from the hood and that’s the truth. You can make me say or do something that I don’t want to”- she added.
