Tragic images of the little girl seated proudly inside the cockpit of a helicopter on the eve of her ninth birthday were shared.
The little child was so excited to embark on a tour over the iconic New York City skyline, and her parents were right there by her side this whole time. Little did anyone know that this would be the last flight of their lives.
16 minutes later, the tragedy struck when the eight-year-old who had traveled to the Big Apple from Spain with her loved ones was killed in the horror crash.
This is right after yesterday’s chopper plummeted into the Hudson River at 3:15 pm.
Her brother and sister also passed away in the horrific accident, as well as her dad, who was the executive head of Siemens in Spain. Her mother was also killed, as was the pilot.
The family was said to be on vacation in New York to celebrate her ninth birthday, which would have been today.
The family of five just arrived from Barcelona and embarked on the first day of touring the Big Apple. As a treat for the young girl and her mom, Merce, they took the scenic helicopter trip.
Commenting on the tragedy, Jersey City mayor Steven Fulop shared how the family flew out to extend the trip a couple of days in New York City. They were said to be celebrating the mom’s 40th birthday with the tourist helicopter flight yesterday.
