The 7-year-old girl who was left fighting for her life after being severely injured by a tornado has received a set of gifts from an unlikely sender.
Little Avalinn Rackley, 7, was badly injured while her 9-year-old sibling was killed when the Missouri tornado struck their family home in Caruthersville on December 10.
Following the tragedy, the little girl was seen wearing a neck brace and supporting herself using a walker as she bravely moved around Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital just days after major surgery.
Now, the young warrior, whose mom recently woke up from a coma and began recovering from her brain injuries, received the most unexpected gift from the former President and his wife.
As the family revealed, Donald and Melania sent little Avalinn boxes of gifts along with a personalized letter in which they wished her a speedy recovery.
“Donald and Melania Trump sent a package! They got hats signed by Donald Trump, Presidential blankets, American Girl Dolls, books signed by President Trump and Melania, pens, bracelets and so much more!” the girl’s grandmother, Pam Moore, wrote on Facebook as she posted a video showing Avalinn and dad Trent in matching onesies.
The grandmother has since also shared a photo of the letter the 7-year-old tornado victim received from the 45th US president.
“We are so encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown during this very difficult time. You will remain in our hearts for complete care and comfort as you continue to recover,” the message read.
“With your steadfast spirit, and the unwavering strength and support of your wonderful family and many friends, your future potential is limitless.”
We wish little Avalinn and the rest of her family a speedy recovery!
