Whether you may like it or not, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back in the United Kingdom after much speculation.
The couple was seen arriving in Manchester today amid a very heavy security protocol. They are now making their way to the Young World charity summit where representatives from all around the globe are scheduled to take part.
But right before the couple’s return, a lot of shade is being thrown on them, especially after Meghan Markle’s recent podcast episodes and her brutal uncensored interview with a New York-based magazine called The Cut.
Dame John Collins was seen mentioning ahead of the appearance in the United Kingdom that ever since the Platinum Jubilee, many have lost their respect for the couple. They just aren’t happy with their actions and their decision to stay so isolated from the Royals.
Speaking during a recent interview with Good Morning Britain on Monday, the 89-year-old famed actress revealed to hosts Martin Lewis and Susanna Reid what she felt on the subject after being requested to comment
At first, the actress acted like she had no idea about what was being said and what was not. “Who could that be? I have no idea what you’re referring to”- she jokingly added. But again, she did manage to take a swipe by claiming she was not interested in talking about it.
“Do we really need to be giving them more oxygen?”- the starlet added.
She put extra emphasis on the ‘diva’ label that Mariah Carey allotted the Duchess and while the singer may have laughed it off and said it had more to do with her style and poses than anything else, the world thought otherwise.
Ever since the ‘diva’ comment, Meghan Markle has been feeling the heat and she was reported to have mentioned during her podcast’s voiceover from the second episode that she was baffled at the comment.
She worried that it may have arisen from all the ‘rubbish’ that has been published against her name.
