Desperate Search Launched For Missing Woman Swept Away During Grand Canyon Flash Flood


A desperate search was carried out for a woman who was swept away in a terrifying flash flood at the Grand Canyon.

The victim was identified as 33-year-old Chenoa Nickerson who went missing while being caught in the floodwaters at the Havasu Creek on Thursday.

Now, loved ones are requesting more details on what could have gone wrong at that moment in time.

Nickerson and her partner were hiking in the Havasupai region when the devastating natural disaster struck. It resulted in the couple splitting up.

Now, family members are requesting for more assistance to try and find the lovely young woman after her partner was found by local citizens on a raft while she is yet to be located.

The family is hoping and praying for her safe return back home. Her mom is requesting the help that he family can get through social media as well.

Several other hikers were also said to be stranded in the nearby vicinity where the victim was reportedly swept away. Sadly, she was not wearing a life jacket at that moment in time.
