More than $400,000 was recently raised for the groom whose bride was killed a few moments after the wedding ceremony.
Sources from local media outlets detailed more about how the tragedy ensued when a drunk driver rammed her vehicle straight into the couple’s golf cart.
This was at the wedding location which happened to be a resort. The impact of the tragedy was so much that the cart flew back nearly 100 yards but that’s not all.
It was also mentioned how the cart was seen rolling over several times until it finally came to a stop.
The bride was killed on the spot while the groom suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical hospital where he was treated and expected to survive.
Today, the groom looks back on the recent past and says it was a nightmare experience to come to life. This was supposed to be his happiest moment but soon turned out to be one that was beyond tragic.
“I never in a million years something like this would happen. Life has thrown a lot of curveballs but I don’t know how to get past this one”- the groom cried.
A GoFundMe account was started in the couple’s name so as to raise funds to pay for the groom’s expenses. In the same way, many hoped that some of the money could be used for sake of covering the expenses of the bride’s funeral which is all set to take place soon.
Loved ones and witnesses at the scene of the crash claimed it was just heartbreaking and tragic to see smiling faces covered in blood and how a moment of happiness was flipped into a moment of grief in seconds.
The young female drunk driver was arrested by the cops and charged with a criminal offense that ended up separating two love birds forever.
