Four gunmen were seen entering a resort in Kashmir in India after opening fire and killing 24 tourists and injuring scores of others, as per the cops.
Authorities shared how the mass shooting was a terror attack carried out by militants who opposed the country’s control over Kashmir.
‘My husband was shot in the head!’- one woman cried after the deadly incident, as reported by the Times of India.
The attack was said to be much bigger than anything directed at civilians in recent times, the region’s leader mentioned in a post on social media.

The four individuals described by the authorities as militants fighting the country’s rule. They opened fire at close range at dozens of tourists in a meadow in Baisran, as per the New York Times.
Baisaran is a meadow that’s found three miles from Pahalgam which is a bucolic town located in the Himalayas and often known as India’s Switzerland, as per the BBC.
Most of the tourists there who were shot or murdered were of Indian descent, and some were critically injured, as per the latest report from the Associated Press.
So far, no group has come forward to claim responsibility for this attack.
