A national from Mexico was recently gunned down in broad daylight near a popular luxurious Cancun resort.
The news spoke about how two suspects fled on jetskis after executing the individual, leaving tourists at the resort horrified.
Many huddled around and watched in horror as the crime was committed in broad daylight without anyone stopping them. It was certainly a very scary scene indeed for some while for others, it was a slap in the face for the resort whose officials stood silently and watched the frame unfold.
The fatal shooting took place around noon time which authorities are now referring to as a targeted attack behind the five-star Riu Caribe.
At least two of the gunman approached the unidentified victim who was said to be in his 30s. They fired multiple bullets at him as per the police and local news outlet.
After opening fire, the suspects left on jetskis, and it was just so devastating for some to see.
For now, the victim is yet to be identified but as per the hotel, he was neither a guest there nor a member of the staff.
The video published online and also reported by news.com.au showed so many swimsuit-wearing guests running and screaming in fear as other workers gathered in the lobby area to witness the daylight murder.
The fact that the resort is luxurious and costs up to $350 for a single night and yet has lackluster security is raising eyebrows as investigations into the incident continue.
