Singing superstar Britney Spears has just confirmed her retirement from the music industry.
According to reports from local media outlets, the celeb broke many loyal fans’ hearts after claiming she was not interested in making any more music.
The star has been making headlines for quite some time now regarding her personal life and very bizarre behavior. This was right after she confirmed her split from her husband.
Now, during a recently published interview, she was questioned about speculations that she was working on a new album. And that’s where the star added how it was not the case.
She trashed them as completely false and baseless and said she no longer had it in her to go back to the recording studio and put in the effort to make more albums.
While the star has not been releasing a whole lot of music in recent times, people did feel she still had it in her to make some more hit tunes. But after this shocking news, that no longer seems to be the case.
“I declare today that I will never return to the music industry. Please stop spreading fake news about me, I know it’s entertaining for some but not for me”- she added.
Going back to making music would have been shocking for some as the star released her last album nearly eight years back.
Spears added how she is making the most of her time behind the spotlight and really does enjoy the laid-back life. “I’ve worked very hard in my life to reach this point. And everyone knows the struggle was not easy”- the singer added in reference to her many conservatorship battles.
As far as her future plans are concerned, the star says she enjoys ghostwriting for other big names in the industry. And that would always be a part of her life.
